We are really excited to have just designed and launched a brand new official website for one of our, and millions of others, most loved illustrators, Quentin Blake.
Quentin illustrated his first book in 1960 although he is best known for his collaboration with Roald Dahl, illustrating such favourites as The BFG, Matilda and The Twits. As well as writing and illustrating books, Quentin has created artwork for several public spaces including covering a 5 storey building at King's Cross and creating a giant frieze for Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. Quentin received a knighthood earlier this year for "Services to Illustration".
Working closely with Quentin and his team, we produced a site that shows off his wonderful illustrations to their best advantage. The site has an easy to use CMS (Content Management System) so that new books and illustrations can quickly be added to the site by Quentin's team. The site has several unique free items including specially designed e-cards, and we will be adding even more features to the site in the next few weeks including exclusive videos and a shop where visitors will be able to buy Quentin Blake merchandise and books.
To increase interaction with Quentin's many fans worldwide we also created a Facebook Page in conjunction with the launch of the new site. It has already received over 1,000 'Likes' in just a couple of weeks, and has proved to be a great way for the team to update fans with news and to promote new items that are added to the site.
The site has been featured as Website of The Fortnight in the latest issue of Web User Magazine.
