We've just been appointed to develop a significant web application for recruitment specialists Temps Ltd.
With its headquarters in Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, Temps Ltd was established in 1999 to supply production, industrial and engineering labour throughout the North West region.
Due to considerable recent growth, the company now has a national network of six offices and plans to open a further four this year alone. They approached us in June 2014 with an ambitious brief to automate and streamline all the company's processes and move them online.
The key drivers were to improve their clients' experience by making it easier and faster to match candidates to job specifications, to check all necessary documentation and to enhance the accuracy of record keeping all aimed at ensuring consistent, high quality service delivery. The resultant application specification has grown considerably and includes a host of useful features including a Client Zone offering employers the opportunity to identify, screen and score employees following employment while also allowing employees to provide feedback on their employer and their experiences. A new Candidate Zone not only offers easy registration, but also gives Temps Ltd the ability to undertake numeracy, literacy and key skills tests and carry out all necessary training and inductions before the employee is posted.
And the benefits don't end there. The new application will be scaleable and will enable the rapid deployment of processes in the new offices to ensure almost seamless operation. The application will also enable Temps Ltd to deliver on-going training to all its staff to ensure they are all up to speed with legislation and clearly understand their responsibilities to all concerned. The project is well underway with all the necessary planning completed and detailed specification recorded and approved. The application is being built in Umbraco, a functionally rich and robust development platform with delivery expected early 2015.
