St James' Safe Deposit have been providing the people of Manchester with safe storage since 1912 and are still going strong.
In fact this month they have just opened a new office in Leeds. As part of their expansion they asked Williams&Crosby to revamp their website.
We raised awareness of the opening via both print and online media channels, during the run up to the launch. In January St James' Safe Deposit opened the new offices to the public, but not before several months of extensive refurbishment and the installation of the latest security systems and air conditioning. The premises are situated in the Financial Quarter, on the corner of Park Row and Russell Street. Originally the building was purpose built as a bank in 1898. At this time banks were required to have a vault, because of the large quantities of cash and gold that needed to be stored on the premises. The location was ideal for St James Safe Deposit with its huge vault doors and impressive vaulted ceilings, despite the fact it had been abandoned for several years.
After having worked with St James' Safe Deposit for several years we were asked to update their site with a user friendly Content Management System (CMS) so that they could add regular news items. Using the latest Umbraco 7 framework we delivered a powerful site that enabled the client to add regular news stories to their blog section. The site is fully responsive, making it easy to use on any device, and not just the front end. The CMS is also responsive so that it is easy to make updates to the site wherever you are. We were really impressed with Umbraco 7, which is a marked improvement on previous versions, and our client loved the site, which is the important thing! We would like to thank St James' Safe Deposit for their continued business and wish them another 100 years or more of success. www.stjames-safedeposit.com
