Isover Saint-Gobain asked for our marketing expertise when they teamed up with Jewsons and other retailers as part of a new promotion.
The idea was to create some new sales and marketing items that would increase business for both Isover Saint-Gobain and the reseller.
We came up with the concept of "Grow Your Business, just add Isover" which would focus on the imagery of growing a sunflower, reinforcing the Isover brand colours and also illustrating the idea of cultivating new business. For the Jewson Live Exhibition that was held at the Birminghan NEC in December, we design a stand that would stand out from the other builders' merchant stands at the event. Using astroturf, white picket fences, and a large backdrop we created a garden-like space. Within the space we positioned a display stand with 100 solar powered dancing sunflowers, a specially made promotional video on a large plasma screen, pop-up banners, and a "Hit Your Targets" shooting competition on a Wii. The competition was a huge success with visitors queueing up to show off their shooting skills. And to add a competitive edge we provided a magnetic leaderboard to show the top scores. The winner of the competition came away with a Nintendo Wii U with Super Mario Kart and Splatoon. But nobody went away empty handed as there were give-away "Grow Bags" full of additional promotional material and gifts.
The team at Isover Saint Gobain were really impressed with what we managed to deliver at short notice, and let us know that the stand was packed out for both days of the exhibition, and that visitors were still asking for promotional items long after they had given them all away. With a little imagination and a lot of hard work we managed to design and deliver a unique eye-catching stand that really stood out from the competition. Based on its success Isover are already planning on using the stand and promotional items at further events in the New Year.
