Last Thursday saw the much anticipated North East Cheshire Business Awards Ceremony at The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, Knutsford.
As sponsors of the North East Cheshire Business Awards we were especially keen to enjoy the evening after several months of hard work in preparation.
We designed several promotional items for the evening including the branded carpets and sponsor's flags. And whilst organising this we made sure the website was regularly updated with news stories and details of the finalists.
The level of entries this year was outstanding and the judges had a tough job of singling out the winners. We were privileged to participate in judging the Best Design/Creative entries, and decided to award the top prize to The Avenue for their unique creative approach that caught people's imagination and led to a campaign that went viral. The project was the promotion of Harris & Howard Bespoke tailors from Alderley Edge, which used a clever image of Robbie Savage in the run up to the World Cup referencing Brazil's iconic Christ The Redeemer statue. Other winners included SAS Daniels for Business of the Year Turnover over £5 Million, Forest Gin for Innovation and Design and One Minute Briefs for Best Use of Social Media.
The evening's guest speaker was James Timpson OBE, Chief Executive of Timpson Limited who run over 1400 shops across the UK. He gave an inspiring speech that proved that there is more than one way to run a business successfully.
