The Macclesfield and Wilmslow Business Awards have been renamed the North East Cheshire Business Awards and with the name change comes a new logo and brand identity.
Following three successful years the management committee decided that the old name was too narrow and did not accurately reflect the geographical area that the awards cover and encourage entry from.
As the creative and web partner to the Awards, it was Williams&Crosby's responsibility to craft and then implement a new brand identity across numerous brand engagement materials including promotional flyers, posters, adverts, e-newsletters and banner stands to date.
A new website has also been developed and launched with an easy to use content management system and responsive front end framework that ensures the optimum viewing experience across multiple devices including tablets and smartphones. Invitations, presentations, tickets and the award ceremony brochure will also feature the new branding with our key issue being to achieve visual consistency across all materials.
Launched in 2011, the awards were the first of their kind for the area and dedicated to recognising and celebrating the success and talent from the vibrant and growing business community in North East Cheshire.
The growing number of sponsors and demand to be involved is testament to the success and awareness that the awards have achieved over previous years. Current sponsors include some of the region's most successful businesses including Thorneycroft Solicitors, KAT UK, Harts Accountants and RA Smart as well as national heavyweights in the form of Orbit Developments and Natwest Bank.
This year there are 11 award categories including Business of the Year, Community Impact, Excellence in Customer Service, Innovation & Design, Team of the Year and Best Company to Work For. Williams&Crosby is sponsoring the Best Design/Creative Award. We are looking for examples of websites, logos/corporate identities, brochures and other creative where businesses can prove the results delivered and the impact this has had on helping them to achieve their objectives. Sadly we are unable to enter! www.necbawards.co.uk
