Artex Sales & Marketing Conference 2017
Last year we wrote about our work on the annual Sales & Marketing Conference for our client Artex...
If you missed it you can read about last year's event here. After the success of last year's event, when it came to planning the conference for 2017, Artex once again approached us to help with the event and we were more than happy to get involved!
This year's conference was to have an Olympic theme and our role at W&C was firstly to create the logo, branding and concepts around the theme. Then to follow this up, the design and print of various collateral items and the sourcing of items required for the activities across the 2 days, including but not limited to; penalty cards, energy bars, hula hoops, artificial flowers, quoits, a dart board and 48 packets of Smints...
The initial brief for the concept from Artex was that it was still to centre around the idea of "Better Together", however as this year's conference was to be held at St George's Park, they wanted it to have more of a sports theme. This was to be tied in with the key themes of teamwork and striving to be the best, whilst also incorporating the "Our Plan" colours. These are the 4 colours which correspond to Artex's 4 pillars under their Our Plan mission statement; the 4 pillars being Our Customers, Our Growth, Our People and Our Best, represented by the colours Blue, Yellow, Purple and Red respectively.
So from this, one of the newest members of our design team Rebecca set about on one of her first big design projects for us! She began with the idea of using the 5 Olympic rings design that we all know and incorporated the 4 Our Plan colours with an Olympic-style logo to create the basis of the logo. From there she experimented with a few different concepts, and following critique and feedback from within the studio and from the client, we settled on the final logo. You can see its evolution in the slider above, followed by the final design.
Once we'd settled on the logo and the concept, it was time to go through the mammoth list of all required items! From banners to booklets, to branded polo shirts, posters, medals and goodie bags, it wasn't always easy but we pulled it off! Working with Artex on the conference is always a pleasure, as no matter the hiccups along the way, it's fantastic to see the success of the event at the end of it all and the team had a great time, as you can see from the photos below!
